Hi all,
I don't find anyone who ask about this topic so I decided to open the new one to make it outstanding. Hopefully, someone had experience about this would be able to help me out . We married (engaged and party) few weeks ago (in April) after we registered in Civic center (one week before we married). Now, in hand we have the solemnizing record issued from the officiant who performed our wedding at Chamber house with our marriage license number. We intended to apply our sponsorship and Permanent Resident together with our certificate of marriage but then we found out that we need to wait for 10 weeks to have the Office of Registrar checked and ready to issue one. The thing is we need to apply as soon as possible (with the Certificate of Marriage) otherwise my wife's visa will be expired (in June). She is here holding her tourist visa since last Sept and sent the application for an extension until June. I got some worries as listed at below:
1. How could we notice CIC office that we need their reply to get the visa granted for my wife for sponsorship process?
2. Is that normal long to get the Certificate of Marriage issued by the Office of Registrar?
3. whether it is fine if we send our application without the certificate (but record of solemnizing)? Would we be refused by the CIC office?
Basically, some of the above matter I have so worried about our application process. If any one had the same experience, please help me to figure out. I would be so much appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance for your kind attention.
Kathy
