Certificate of Citizenship for Child, PR for Wife

Hello. My child is a Canadian citizen by virtue of my being her dad, so I would like to send away for her Certificate of Citizenship. I will also be sponsoring my wife's PR. As the paperwork for the PR might take a little longer than the paperwork for the certificate of Citizenship, I was wondering if I should just send off the application for my daughter's CoC right away or send both my wife's PR app and my daughter's CoC app together? Any advice on how to proceed in the best possible way?

Send the CoC application right away as you will need to include that in your PR application. It can take a while to get it back, so send the CoC now, as well as the FBI report, and start preparing for the PR process - it takes a while to get everything together, so you might as well start by the ones that take longer - FBI and CoC.
Wait for your medicals as they are only valid for 1 year, so you want to do them as close to the sending date as possible.

to prove that she is a dependent but already Canadian so doesn't need to be sponsored.

I don't know what country you're applying from, but for example, here is a quote from the country-specific instructions for the Philippines:
"For any dependent child who is a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, a photocopy of one of the following documents must be included with your application:
•Canadian Citizenship certificate
•Canadian passport
•Permanent Resident Visa, or
•Permanent Resident Card"

Check Part 3, the Country Specific Instructions for the country your wife will be applying from to see if they have the same requirements.

also - when you apply for the CoC, ask for an urgent process because you're putting the PR application together. It doesn't always work, but it does sometimes!

Apply for childs Citz. work on pr while waiting. I applied for our childs citz. same week he was born.
