Could anyone here please tell me which countries accept traveling with the Canadian certificate of Identity? and if its possible to get married with a certificate of identity ?
my boyfriend who has a PR of Canada but currently does not have his passport (Bangladeshi passport) which is withhold by the embassy of Canada. and it has been almost three years since they took his passport. His lawyer is saying he should get it back now but its taking forever. So we were thinking that he could apply for a certificate of identity to travel abroad to a country which will give me visa easily as well. Since my Bangladeshi passport will not give a canada tourist visa as i have no travel history etc. we want to get married but since he is stuck in Canada and I in Bangladesh, it is being really being impossible to do so! so we wanted to travel to a country like Malaysia or so,to get married as tourists, but i m not sure where any of these countries accept a Canadian certificate of Identity?.
