Certain Occupations preferred over others?

Hi,

I was talking to one of my friends who is a dentist and has applied for immigration under the express entry scheme (I'm yet to apply). He said that even if you meet the points criteria, whether you get selected for PR will depend upon your occupation. He said that certain occupations, the ones high in demand, are more likely to be selected. Not all NOCs are the same.

is this true?

nope. as long as your points are above the cutoff you get an invite. Noc code matters only so far as to prove you're a skilled worker.
