Browsing through this forum I discovered more threads confirming the dubiety of CELPIP test scores. For me the experience with one of the Testing companies in British Columbia, Canada turned equally sour.
Their non-existing refund and 9 days 50% refund policies as well as the general audacity of of their staff pointing to convoluted 'terms and conditions' rather than helping candidates (most of which 2nd language English) is disturbing. This is a profit oriented company Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has entitled to help people to give written proof of the English language. I have taken IELTS tests before and had a non- dramatic experience with them. It is what it is - more of a nuisance than anything but at least it it transparent and fair.
So I will encourage everyone I know to consider IELTS, TOEFL instead of CELPIP. It is the most blatant money grab I have witness in a somewhat highly official process.
