I started work on May 4, 2020 and since then it's full time in excess of 30 hours per week. 52nd week completes on May 2, 2021 considering week from Mon-Sun.

My question is whether I would be eligible on Apr 29, 2021 i.e. on Thursday as my daily hours are 7.5 and so on Thursday I would have completed 30 hours work week and thus 52 weeks criteria or 1560 hours. If not what is the reason?

If eligible can I create profile on Thursday and submit on same or the next day and eligible to receive ITA on Fri if draw happens on that day?

Thanks for any responses on this.

The system counts work experience based on month and year, and does not include days. So you’d probably be eligible for CEC when you submit your profile by end of this month. If you read previous posts (there’s tons of them here), some applicants receive their ITA on the 11 month of their experience and they wait a month or so before submitting to complete their 1 full year of Canadian work experience.

Yes actually I was able to enter yesterday itself based on CEC and FSW both on Wednesday. Was a surprise to me.

Hello all,
Please I have a very confusing case and would appreciate you all advice.
I received an invitation in express entry to apply for PR under Canadian experience class February 13th 2021 draw

- I got hired on the 25th of September 2019
My payday is biweekly, every 2 weeks.

Now here is the confusing part.
-I lost my first stub that came in on October 15 2019.
-My second paystub dated Nov 1st 2019 has 57 hours on it instead of the 60 hours required (30 hours a week, 2 week 60 hours)
The rest of my paystub from November 15 2019 to September 18 2020 all have over 60 hours on them.

-October 2nd 2020 paystub has 55 hours. After October my workload got reduced to part time due to COVID-19.

My Experience letter stated that I was employed from 25th of September to October 2020 and has worked 1,700 hours.

Will my application be rejected because of few hours short?
Should I apply with just experience letter and not upload paystubs?

Paystubs are not required as long as your hours are mentioned in the reference letter.

If you counted your hours every 2 weeks at 60 hours or less from Dec 2019 leading up to the ITA, is it really coming up short? By how many hours?

@NOC98 First thank you very much for responding to my question.
I made a mistake in my previous post. my start date is 25th September 2019 not 25th December 2019.
my total hours from September 25 2019 to end of october 2020 is 1,700 hours.

I am confused, why are you saying you’re missing hours then? You’re saying here the total hours is 1700, but if count your bi-weekly hours at 60 or less, does it come up to 1560 hours or more in order to show 1 year Canadian work experience?
