Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

I have this confusion in my mind, I came to Canada as a student in 2008 and completed my studies in 2009 for Post-Graduate Certificate from George Brown College which was a 1 year course and after doing some odd jobs for a year I got a job in my field of study and which was a NOC A job (in Oct 2010). This is the Job I am working at Present and have accumulated 2 years. I know I don't qualify under the Graduate stream since my course was for only 1 year and only a Post-Grad Certificate so I am applying under the (2 years)work experience under CEC. Now my question is that while filling out form imm0008 Schedule 8, I need to answer YES under the question STUDY IN CANADA but I have this fear since I show my study they may not consider me ineligible to apply under CEC-Graduate Stream and reject my application. Since there is no distinguishing question for which stream does the candidate wants to apply under. Or...... am I simply getting worried about it since the VO is smart enough to understand my eligibility under work experience class of CEC and not under graduate class of CEC.

Thanks All for their Valuable inputs!

The bigger fear should be, if you check "no," then you might be seen as misrepresenting your experience in Canada. So you have to check yes.

If you also check "2 years or more" under "Work in Canada" the VO should evaluate you using the foreign worker criteria. It is possible that VOs make mistakes on many different things, they are not perfect, and you can't worry about everything. If a procedural error is made, you can appeal. But as long as you provide all the required documents and complete all the forms correctly, there is little room for error...
