CEC through Express Entry

I am yet to land Canada this November with a work permit. I will be working in High skilled job (NOC 2174).

There is lot of debate around which path to follow to purse Permanent Residence.
Till date, I thought I should go for FSW, as soon I land in Canada. But my future employer strongly recommend Express Entry.
Employer adviced, what ever are the rules, it will favor skilled candidates and on top of it, people with Canadian experience.
I am more inclined towards CEC through Express Entry. Am I moving in right way?
Pl advice

There is nothing clear about Express Entry at this point - therefore best suggestion would be to wait until more information is available.

Express Entry has not been launch yet. Thus, no clear guidance as to the eligibility.
It is premature to discuss on this subject.

if your employer is helpful then wait for EE as there is scope for people with employment offer

I think your employer is right.
As said by other people, job offer from your employer will almost guarantee an invitation to apply for PR.

Wait and file through Express Entry.

Job offers at that stage, under EE, will be subject to LMIA...

Just another point to consider, not the easiest procedure, and they will make it stricter

I doubt LMIA will be applicable to CEC. For sure, it applies to FSW, who plan to come from different country.

But, need to wait for more clarity.

Candidates will receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence if they rank among the top in the pool, based on their skills and experience. Candidates who have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer (subject to the Labour Market Impact Assessment process in place at that time) or have been nominated by a province or territory will be given high scores in the ranking system.

Nothing mentioned for FSW or not, covers probably the whole EE

At least, that is how till date it was done.
LMIA for CEC candidates does not make sense to me. As I said earlier, better wait till the announcement is made.

you should go for federal skilled worker for now ...if you feel express entry rules are simple and good for you ...you can do another application for express entry so in this case atleast u r safe on both sides......otherwise if express entry comes out tuff you can be in trouble...

In my opinion, may be you can apply for the FSW now and then can file another application if you find express entry a better option in future.. better to be safe..

If your employer is with you and willing to offer you job , then no matter what regulations are there for EE , you will make it.

Well, applying through present FSW and taking up as well as EE will be definitely a smart move.

I agree with Ahmed. What ever are the rules, if you are a skilled candidate and your employer is ready to offer job on permanent basis, you should have a path to get permanent residence.

Do we have any official indication that your employer will be able to help you circumvent Express Entry?

A job offer by employer can make a difference in Express entry. The candidate will be favored. That might be the only help employer would do to the candidate.
