Hi,
May I know how you found your VO details? Also, how you connected to CIC agent? In my case, medical is still in review more than 4 months. So, your inputs will help me a lot. Thanks in advance!!!
My previous VO was Ottawa then transferred to Edmonton. My medical is still under review. No updates after that.

I received GCMS notes from CBSA today (ordered it on Dec 16, 2021). Eligibility and medicals passed; info sharing completed. Security and criminality not started - the due dates for these are at end of this year (Oct and Nov respectively)!!! (AoR Sep 22). Primary VO: Edmonton.

Received GCMS notes today,

"Criminality approval pending Biometrics-RCMP" - 10/22/2021
"Biometrics Updated" - 10/27/2021
"Due date Pushed 30 days" -11/22/2021
"Due date Pushed 30 days" -12/29/2021

Application Assignment Due Date: 01-28-2022
Assigned By: GB01592
Assigned To: GB01592

It appears as though there are multiple instances of Agent Code GB01592 taking their sweet time to approve criminality. I could have been done with this process months ago.
After repeatedly reading my notes, it's clear my application hasn't been looked at since 10/22/2021 and the only reason my application did not pass in October is that I had not submitted my biometrics. I'm waiting for is for an agent to review my file and see that my biometrics were submitted. This process is so infuriating. I didn't submit my biometrics quick enough (within 4 days of receiving the biometrics request) and now I'm going to have to wait god only knows how long for someone to look at my file again?

For some perspective, it took 44 days to get my file initially reviewed, it's been 116 days since that event.

I'm sorry for bitching, I didn't realize how close I was to being done, it's quite deflating.

I see the application assignment due date as 2022/02/11 on the 2nd page of GCMS notes. What does that mean?

BREAKING NEWS: Canada increases target to 432,000 immigrants in 2022 under Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024

Canada is increasing its immigration targets yet again. It will look to welcome almost 432,000 new immigrants this year instead of its initial plan to welcome 411,000 this year.

Some 60 per cent of these immigrants will arrive under economic class pathways such as Express Entry and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Due date means nothing since they always adjust it. It's computer generated, sometimes your application is assessed before the due date other times the due date passes multiple times before anything happens. Some due dates go far out to December 2023 and other are 30 days. I read this earlier from Legal Falcon, but I can no longer find the post.

Just got off the call with IRCC, and the agent confirmed that it doesn't mean anything. It is just a date on which they probably receive a notification that this file has been sitting in one place since you last touched it. If the officer is a good human, (s)he will look at it and (if everything is OK) make a decision, or send your ADR, or otherwise just do nothing. Mine was also due on Feb 11. The agent confirmed that nothing new has happened since my last review in Nov 2021.

This will probably result in faster processing of all pending cases, including ours. The last year's processed number of cases per month also show that January to May 2021 were slow. I hope they are not that slow this time, but I think they'll start to push or at least reach their limits starting March-May, 2022, because the planned number (432,000) will mean that they need to issue at least 36000 CoPRs/eCoPRs per month beginning January. Which also means they're already falling behind their targets. I am sure IRCC personnel would never appreciate the stress and pressure they experienced at the end of last year again ;)

Ummm.. I have some bad news...

IRCC has slashed space for landing us to only 55900 people... There are still 64K of us (CEC + FSW) to be landed at the end of January. It means some significant numbers may not get landing this year.

Being optimistic, I think adjusting all 64k wouldn't be an issue at all, it's just 8100 more applicants lol
