Hi experts,
First of all I just wanted to mention that the recent news of the latest draw (5th) were excellent. Congrats to all of the people who got ITA! Given that the future is looking optimistic for the drop in points I wanted to be proactive and start collecting the documents that I would need in case I get ITA in the next couple of draws.
As a PGWP holder, I qualify under the CEC with 463 points. I was looking for the required documents for CEC under this website (cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/immigrate/skilled/index.asp). However, as soon as I click on the “Canadian Experience Class” link, the system sends me to the “Skilled Trades” requirements (probably a temporary error). As a result, I could not find anything more specific than the checklist from the paper application (link below).
I need some advice with the following:
1. Is there a more updated version of the checklist of required documents under the new Express Entry system for CEC?
2. I went to school here in Canada and have a Bachelor’s degree in Business (4 years). To my understanding, education is not a requirement for CEC. However, it does affect the points/ranking under the Express Entry system. So my question is: Would I need to submit any documents about my education? And if I do, what documents would I need to submit considering that it is from a Canadian University? (I guess I would not have to go over the process of validating my education as I would if I had studied in my native country right?)
3. For those documents that would need translation (e.g. birth certificates, police certificates, etc.), how do I find the people who are authorized to do this in Canada? And what are the approximate fees per page? FYI I live in Toronto.
4. Can someone point me on how to look for expiry date of my Express Entry Profile?
Thank you very much for your answers. I really appreciate any advice.
