Hello,

One of my former employers will not provide a reference letter outlining my duties. However, my ex-manager has offered to write and sign one for me. The only issue is that he no longer works at the company, although we worked together during my time there. I wonder if this could be an option, as the people I knew at that company no longer work there.

It should be sufficient, attach both of them. Also it would good to get some proof for the manager that he was your manager and worked with you.

Yes it should be fine as long as you mention everything in the LOE. Additionally, also attach paystubs and bank statements & income tax statements from that previous job! When it comes to LOE, it's always better to back it up with all the authentic documents you have! All the best!
