Hey Congratulations on getting the golden mail
. I remember you said a few days ago you got an email asking for your details and if you were inland or outland. Did you get that mail directly on the cic portal or was that in your personal email. The reason I am asking is that Its been a while that I no longer have access to my email. I have emailed IRCC to update my email but they haven't replied. I am worried if they tried contacting me on the old email address
Yes, its called the 'Portal email' - It was in my Gmail inbox, there was no movement in my CIC GC account.
My advice:
1. Contact IRCC Customer Care Agents, they can check if an email was sent to your old email address, if it was then ask them to change the old email to new email - they could probably do it in real time and ask them if you could request IRCC to send you that the portal email again but this time on the new email ID.
2. Also, to be on a safe side, raise a webform updating them about the email change.
