Hi all,

I have 3 years of the work experience in the IT industry, planning for masters program in canada and then work on PGWP to gain enough CRS points for the Federal skilled workers program. I will have enough points on completion of master and 1 year work ex in canada, so:
  • Can I apply in FSW category after that or will be considered for the CEC class.
  • Will the work ex that I will gain while studying can be counted towards canadian work ex when applying for the FSW category.
  • Since the study and 1 yr work ex will fetch good CRS score, there isn't any need for the provincial nomination. Hence I can pursue my masters anywhere in canada including Quebec and will not have any implications. Is that correct?
Appreciate the suggestions on the above points.

TIA

If you're eligible for the CEC you have to apply through it. You can't choose to apply as a FSW instead.

You don't get CRS points for work experience gained while you were a student in Canada.
