I think you misunderstood my thread to some extent. Based on your post above, the first slice of your canadian working experience is from May 2016 to Dec 2016. This is good, however, this is only 8 months even calculated in full month experience for May and Dec. Let's assume you started working on Feb 1 2019, You will gain 3 months canadian working experience til May. We sum up them, you will only have 11 months of canadian working experience, which is not qualify under CEC. After May 2019, you will lose canadian experience every day from previous work, and gain canadian experience every day from your current job, which means you will never meet MEC until Feb 2020 (12 months of canadian experience in past 3 years).

For clarification, you `MUST` have 12 months/52 weeks to qualify under CEC.

hi jess

Not sure what you are asking... Above you stated February, now it is January?
First you said "i am presently satarted working from Feb 2019" now you are talking about a January payslip, so since you have indicated 2 different start dates, it is confusing.

i got salary slip of jan 2019 with 30.67 hrs of work, its a bimonthly slip so it should count as two weaks right
??? Why would you think that? January 24-Jan 31 is one week. You cannot count it as two weeks because you get paid bi-monthly, come on!

if it counts as 2 weaks i get candian experience of 51 weaks 1600+Hrs
Even if that were correct, which it is not,it still does not meet the minimum of 52 weeks.

Hi jess

i will show my Canadian experience from jun 1 2016 which falls on wed, so from wed to sat it will be a weak right

In a previous post, you stated that your actual dates of work were April/24/ 2016 to Dec/22/ 2016. You can't just make them up, you have to use the actual dates.

from their onwards to 31 dec 2016 i get 32 weaks
34 weeks, but who's counting?

secondly i started working again from Jan 24 onwards which falls on Thu, so it will be a weak and from 28 jan 2019 it will be another weak right
So you will gain another 13 complete weeks by April 24, 2019, giving you 47 weeks. From this point on, however, your 2016 experience will start expiring. For every additional week you work, you also lose a week. You will have 47 weeks of eligible work, and that number will not change until Dec 22, 2019. Then your work experience will start to accumulate again. So you will not have 52 weeks until January 23, 2020.

so on jun 4 2019 it all accumulate to 51 weaks

No, it will not. See above. As others have repeatedly explained, you cannot use experience that is more than 3 years old to qualify for the CEC class.

Here's what WOULD be possible - if you have foreign work experience and are eligible under the FSW program, you can count Canadian experience for CRS points only (not for eligibility) for the past 10 years. SO - By the end of May, you would be able to count 1 year of experience for CRS points, but only if you are eligible under the FSW program. Not for CEC.

IF all the experience is skilled (NOC O, A, or B) and full-time, this comes to 42 weeks, so you would have to work another 10 weeks before you can claim it as one year. Keep in mind that you have to be able to document your work experience (letters of reference, T4s...)

Hello,
I am Bhagyashree Kulkarni looking for applying Canada PR.
I have one question regarding CEC, how the one year span is calculated for PR application? Is it by months or dates (365 days)?

I was working in Canada till 27th December 2019 and my arrival in Canada was on 29th December 2018 and this makes 11 months 28 days if we consider 365 days logic, so in this case am I losing points for one year because of departing from country 2 days earlier?
Thanks
