Hello everyone!! Is there anybody like me who has not received passport request yet. I am worrying too much as I have not received it until and my ecase shows in process . Thanks :(

Quick questions:

While sending the "photos" to Ottawa for visa stamping, should they be signed by the photographer ? Photographer says he wont - Took the pictures at local Loblaws and all he did was put a Loblaws stamp/date. No signature. Is it OK ? Dont remember what they did for PR application as it was done long time back.

The back of one (1) photograph must:
- bear the name and date of birth of the subject, as well as the name and complete address of the photography studio
- bear the date the photograph was taken
- the photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

The photographer at Walmart stamped both pictures even though I asked her to do only one. I sent them to Ottawa just the same but wrote my name and date of birth on only one. At this point this is the least of our worries.

Oct 14 applicant, waiting for passport request.

Please can any one who has experienced in asking for alternative passport request instructions for other countries let me know the wait time. I got to know it is like 2-3 weeks from other sources. Please let us know if you have exp. otherwise.

Saw the ECAS today.. It says decision made! 8)

No PPR yet!! ::) :-\

Hoping for a Positive result.

Cheers,
Varun

As I wasn't expecting PR anytime soon and as I've been in the UK for the last 2 years, I had booked a holiday in Canada, leaving this weekend. However, not that things are moving and there's a chance COPR may come through before I leave, can I still enter Canada as a tourist and not activate my PR? If activated it I would still have to come back to the UK two weeks later and wouldn't yet have my PR card at that point, which is a situation I would like to avoid! Even if my COPR doesn't come throug before I leave I'd imagine my status will show up when the immigration official checks my passport.

Do you think I'll have a problem?

Check your junk mail or lawyer, if you used one. If nothing, then I would call CIC to ask them what the decision is and if any additional correspondence was sent to you, that is PPR.
All the best!

Hi kadiemc82.

Yes, I did check my Junk mailbox, Noting in it. (I have no Lawyer and I guess I cant call CIC as I don't live in Canada anymore.)
I guess I will get the PPR this week.

Thanks. All the best to you too!

Cheers.
