Just received an email with work permit extension approved (not BOWP)
Do you guys think that this means something regarding our permanent residency application?
Haha I'm trying to relate every single detail to see if I can find something out about PR. I'm so hopeless... Thoughts?

I guess it means your cec application looks good and they want to issue you the extension as soon as possible so that you can not ask for a refund......

I applied in Feb 21, fee was $155 for me and the employer had to pay another fee.
I did not upload medicals for work permit extension, they didn't ask for it.

Received RPRF today. I am 3rd Oct applicant.
I followed the links given in mail. It seems that a profile needs to be created in CIC . Is this understanding correct.

Yes you are right it's just a payment profile won't be related to your application, but you need to send the receipt to CIC when you finish the payment
Don't want to jinx it but I have a feeling that early October applicant who paid RPRF upfront may get PPR before Thursday this week or may be later today

I also think work permit extension is related to the PR Application status somehow.psab2014 said:
I received my work permit in the mail yesterday and they have mentioned APR pending on the work permit. APR means Application for Permanent Residence.
It's like Remarks: APR pending

Only thing pending for me was HK PCC which I have a feeling CIC must have finally obtained from HK Police and hence the RPRF request.
Not sure though....
