Guys..I see a ray of hope for old CEC applicants...Read this comment from a fellow member...

It says that the secretary of the MP told him that there is some FSW Quota that CIC has met...hence EE applications are like on hold...may be this would be blessing for us and we may see some movement in coming months as there would be more VO's working on the old CEC....Just my observation and I could be wrong.....

I heard from one of the Aug 2014 CEC application forum:

Some of them contacted the local MP for the status of PR application, Local MP mentioned that CIC is focusing on express entry and normal entries are going to take 20 months..

if any one has more information or has connect with earlier months applicants, please share here..

Yes you can. I believe you are allowed with work permit only entry by road, not sure by air.

It all depends if you are need a TRV or not as some countries are exempt. I have flown with just my work permit to the states and got back no problem but im from a visa exempt country.
