I am new to this group. My application reached on 6th October for Noc code-2174.
Till date no update on it. Also I sent followup mail almost 25 days back, unfortunately no reply.

My application was also received at CIC and amount was charged in Dec too but no further information since then. I also didn't get any response of my mail. Please let me know if you get any further clue.

Hi everyone! I got denied my residency after submitting it in november last year. Apparently they had already reached the cap of 8000 applicants. I then realized i could apply under the new express program, in which i got accepted into the pool. But recently just found out i got denied again. My application is satisfactory yet I'm having a hard time working out what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

I just received a message from CIC-Ottawa asking for RCMP criminal record check. I submitted one with my file. in the email they mentioned that if I submitted one I should disregard the email.

Any idea whether I should resend them another one?

I just received an email from CPC-CTD-Ottawa for RCMP certificate request, even though I already sent mine with my application. They said to disregard this email if I already sent one. But my RCMP was done on Aug 14, 2014 so I was confused if it is still valid. So i called the call center and they notified me the validity is in between date RCMP was done and the day you filed. So i should be good in that case. I do not need to send another one. But if I still want to be sure I can send them an email asking my question. But I think that will slow my application down.

I think I will just wait since I already send a RCMP certificate.

Good to see that there is some movement on the files....But I was wondering on what grounds do they ask for RCMP....Is it for everyone or there is some condition which leads to this ask....

If you check CIC website you can find which places you can do it from. I am from toronto and there are several here. It cost me $60 to do it.

Hi,

i'm in Ottawa, there's a place on 100 Argyle Ave, off of Elgin st. they charge $45 and get it in the mail within 10 business days. I'm going to get a new one and e-mail it to CIC.

What do you guys think? should I scan it and send it via e-mail or send it via a courier?

I have a quick question... What is RCMP...? Is it the police checks? Because I have big issues to get mine from Vietnam, as they want me to go there to ask for it, and come back about 2 months later... Which I can't do as it is wayyyyy too expensive... :/
