@ senecanking, when did your CC/draft got encashed. Some times AOR depends on it too.

In my case, myself (along with my family ) and my friend (bachelor) applied on the same date. File received at CIC on Oct14. But my friend's draft got encashed on Dec31, he got AOR on Feb12. But my draft got encashed on 5-Jan-15 only and i got AOR on 17-Feb-2015.

So don't worry you will get AOR

Hi all

My work permit expires on April 5th and I am still waiting for my AOR to applying for a bridging visa. Reading this forum and the spreadsheet I hopefully shouldn't have to wait too much longer. My application was received in Sydney on Oct 17th and my money order was processed on the 8th Jan.
Anyway, my question is; does anyone know how long the bridging visa takes? And where to apply for it?
I would like to start getting the paperwork together now if that would help things.

I am in the same situation, my work permit expires in April 30th 2015 and my CC was charged on January 9th 2015.

This is for all those who's still waiting for AOR when everyone else applied around the same time has already received it (I am in the same boat so I did some research and found this)...maybe you'll find this helpful as well:

- Go to ECAS website

- Try logging in with your UCI (the 8 digit no. on your work permit) and see if your status is showing up as 'In Progress'

- If it is showing up as "In Progress", it probably means your AOR was issued but got lost in somewhere, but your application is fine - it is getting processed. If you want to receive another copy of AOR, you can either call or email CIC and ask them to check if your email address on file is correct and resend the info. I think the email address is "CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca" (I'm not 100% certain though, please correct me if I am wrong.)

My application was received on Oct 14th, but no AOR as of right now. I was really worried until I learnt I can check ECAS even without an AOR.

My status is "In Progress".
