Application received 23rd October 2014

Received return envelope today, unprocessed due to the cap. Card not charged.

My work permit expired in December. I am still on "implied status" at the moment as I did apply for a BOWP. Obviously that will be rejected as well now, expecting that letter any day. That means I'll lose my job and have to leave the country. Not really sure what to do next.

3 days too late...

$3000? LMIA application for EE or PR is free for the company!

Read carefully: I payed a lawyer $3000 to represent me and $1000 fee as LMIA was for WP.

Maybe desperate option, but keep on your mind that opening your corporation could help you to stay in the loop with the job, in contact with people and possible find a job with LMIA. BC and some other provinces will allow you to start the corporation with not even having a Canadian as a director. I did it. Just keep it in reasonable and legal frame. It could help you to bridge some uncertain period.

You might need to restore your status to something else. Like student or visitor.
Oprning your startup isnt a bad idea.

Can you please shed some more light on how this startup/corporation thing works

When you say stay in the loop with the job does that mean being able to keep working even after implied status is over

Guys hold your temper :). I also filed my application in November and they charged my CC on 21st January, 2015. Yes! the reason for delay in other cases may be large number of files to be cleared by that specific officer under a specific category.

Are you in the November tracker?

I just checked your posts, so you applied for a processing office to be London, UK?
Did you apply under CEC or FSW?

Hi there,

just to let you know that my CEC was also returned due to the cap. it was received on 26 Oct.

I am really disappointed, I wish you the best for all.
