hi guys
This is a kind of question for everyone. one of my friend's friend got refusal from CEC and reason I heard is that she wasn't having enough experience as she filled right after she completed her one year as a skilled worker in Canada. So I My question is when we can apply for CEC and how much truth behind what I heard about her refusal??? is that Possible ????? that some one can get refusal from Canadian experience class after she applied for it after completing ONE year as mention on CIC website. Can someone please throw some light on this PLEASE

@ Darky07

Just went through the Sep spreadsheet and already they have mentioned 100 days lead time to receive AOR.

Considering the upcoming holiday season during Christmas, i would ask you to change it from 90 days to 100 days.

Hope it makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Has to be one year or more than 1970 hours. don't file it right after one year, as it may not have enough hours. Just to be safe do not count paid vacation. Already wait for a year, can wait for another 2~3 weeks just to be safe.

Just a small worry that has been in my mind for long time.

As the AOR takes more than 100days, it will be Jan 2015 that our applications will be processed to generate the AOR.

As they are processing our applications in Jan 2015, will they consider it as normal CEC or express entry application ? Is this info mentioned anywhere in CIC?

Hi,
don't worry, only applications received in 2015 will be processed under EE.

Buddy, this is misleading....its not 1970 hours but 1560 hours in 12 months time....the extract from CIC says:
'You must have obtained at least 12 months of full-time, or the equivalent in part-time, skilled work experience at NOC Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week'

The reason why that person might have been rejected is because if you apply right after completting 1 year there may be chances that you may have taken vacation in between that 1 year which CIC may not have counted towards eligible experience...so he/she might be short of a week of so and since CEC is not point based...its just Pass/fail, he/she got rejected as the requirement was not met may be even by a week...so that's the reason why everyone on this forum suggests that till the time you are 100% sure that you have not taken any leave and completed 12 months of work with 30 hrs minimum per week, you should have a buffer of couple of weeks before you apply.....

AOR sent in 2015 will be due to the fact that CIC needs to clear the backlogs from previous months and not because it overlaps with EE staring Jan 1st. If you've seen our tracker for Oct'2014, the AOR has been updated to 100 days(darn !) considering the holiday season on us and New Years eve to follow.

As stated on CIC website, all applications made for permanent residency on or before Jan 1st will fall under CEC.

Anything received Jan 1st onwards will fall under EE. Please DO NOT confuse the two because of the overlap.
