Good luck, I taken the IELTS test. I heard that CELPIP is a simpler test though. Not sure how true is that.

Exam was quit reasonable all you need to give concentration on reading passage and also i found speaking quit difficult because you can not give satisfactory answer in proper way in just 1 minutes. Overall experience was i can say 7/10. I am waiting for my score to come.

All the best all ooctober applicants....

Thanks for creating this thread. I just sent my application out this morning and it should reach Sydney by 7 Oct.
I hope they take a month or so to reply because my husband's permit ends in late November. So nerve wrecking!

Is anyone in the same boat? What would you recommend I should do if I don't hear from them by late November?

Flair - I believe your husband should apply for the bridging work permit ASAP, that will allow your husband(and if you are working based on his work permit) to work here till CIC makes a decision on your PR application.

Looking at the time duration for past applicants for Aug & Sep'2014, the response time is anywhere between 45-60 days for the AOR(provided you have sent a complete application) and they are satisfied with the contents.

Thanks for your reply Kamatmahesh! I hope to apply for the Bridging work permit too but it seems that CIC would need a received confirmation that my PR is eligible under CEC first. It's stated on the CIC website. I guess this confirmation would be my AOR??

Do you know if I can apply for Bridging work permit without the AOR? If anyone on this forum has done so, please let me know?

Well, As per my information and as per CIC website, you will need AOR to apply for bridging work permit....All i can suggest is to make ur file ready for Bridging work permit and apply right away when u get ur AOR....Generally it takes a month to get AOR. However, currently people are getting AOR in 60 days...

I just checked the forum..People who applied in July end got their AOR today...Hardly anyone who applied in Aug got AOR yet...
