Hello Guys,

I guess there is some confusion....The 3500 application which you are talking are actually those people who already received AOR..Generally AOR is received in a month after you apply...

So these are the people who applied around 1st week of September and already got AOR...We still have 4500 applications left...we all will easily get AOR....

Not sure from where this 22nd July data came from...

I been reading around and most people mentioned that the AOR is received within 55-80 days depending on the applications. Are you sure it only takes a month. because if so, you just made my day :)
Also, does receiving an AOR means that CIC has acknowledged that my application is complete and that they are starting to process it? Or it just means, yes they have it, but nothing else has been done with the application.

Thanks for all the answers in advance.

Correct me if I am wrong here, I think once CIC checks your application for all documents and you see a charge of $550 on your credit card(if that is the payment method you have opted for - currently that is the only way they accept payment) , it means that they are satisfied with all the documents.

I suppose it's minimum 5.. refer to the below table and link..

cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/language-testing.asp

If you took the test on or after April 1, 2014:

NOC CLB Level Test results for each ability
Speaking Listening Reading Writing
0,A 9 and above
CELPIP-G-2014 9+ 9+ 9+ 9+
0, A 8
CELPIP-G-2014 8 8 8 8
0, A 7
CELPIP-G-2014 7 7 7 7
B 6
CELPIP-G-2014 6 6 6 6
B 5
CELPIP-G-2014 5 5 5 5
Thanks i got confused when the table shows for N0C B BOTH 6 AND 5

Yes, I have given them my credit card information. any idea how long does it actually take until they have the $550 charged to my card?
also, once I see the charge, how long until I get my AOR?

Thanks

AlyAhmed,

I would give it a month. This is what I have heard from my friends and colleagues who had applied earlier this year in March/Apr.

Its a waiting game now ! ;D

Yes, it's all about the waiting now. they received my application this morning, but I can't find a signatory name as I was tracking my package, even though I asked for the package to be signed for.
I guess I will just start counting the days from now, and hope for the best.

Wish all you guys luck with your applications as well.

yeah mine's still in transit and currently in Halifax as we speak !. Hopefully it will reach Sydney soon.

Good luck to everyone here !

Why they show two level for NOC B..6 AND 5?

yes, your friends were right, so did my friends and colleagues say, but now, based on the Google spreadsheets, that shows it takes 60+ days to get AOR, which only means either there are too many applications flocking in or CIC is now moving its resources to something else. but either way, receiving AOR in 30 days is not possible for now. personally, i would believe the latter, because the cap updates in the last 45 days show the cap only added up by 165/week. well before the last 45 days, the increasing rate in the cap was 266/week.

Is there a google spreadsheet ? I saw the September 2014 applicants have one created to track their's, shouldn't we have one too for all Oct applicants.

It is only Oct 2nd, in a week or two we will see a lot of people on here discussing ! :)

Alyahmed - am in the same stage. My package reached them this morning but despite me asking for a signatory name, it wasn't signed per Online update.. Hope ours get processed correctly..

Yeah, I hope so too. Hopefully within the next two months we'll hear good news.
What category have you applied under? I applied under NOC 2241

Usually it takes a month..sometime it also take 2 months...you can expect to receive it between 30-60 days...receiving AOR means that all the documents sent are complete...However, they do not immediately start processing it....usually they get back to you in 6 months after you receive AOR...

Getting AOR means that the documents sent are complete and fine....However, after that they do various background check, might also varify your experience if they have any doubts....
