CEC October 2014 Applicants

By rule they never release the information unless they confirm it is the applicant who is mailing. Wrong info will land them in trouble. I have no issues accepting it as long as it is authentic! Also you mentioned when they know what date u applied they will say if it is thru or not. Take a scenario where the application till Oct 22nd were 7950 and on 23rd they accepted 50 out of 200 aplications to reach the 8000 quota. Now if I mail them saying my application reached on 23rd what will they say? Immigration departments dont go by what u say/ask they go my facts and only if they have verified ur application they would respond.

They know which date they include in cap so if he gave them information when his application was received they could conclude that it was after the last accepted date. In that case they don't need to open his application and check passport number or UCI they can just send responds saying that the cap has been reached and the application was returned. They could send all applications back on Jan 23 so doesn't matter if the application was received OCt 25 or Nov 20....it was send back on JAn 23.


The email looked quite real so I would suggest to look for another options. Also they have never stopped charging CC for so long.

Don't get me wrong.....there is something not right and we all have to start accepting that info.


And I am pretty sure they they won't give any information on a web site. We will just get our applications back together with the explanation letters.

I agree with you in some of your assumptions however I do not agree with accepting defeat without more concrete evidence. I fail to believe that one person half way around the world is the only one with a response from CIC. I am willing to bet that there are quite a few people out there that have submitted the same request without a response. Until at least a few people have a mail in Canada or the applications back we need to assume that they process. Yes correct look at alternative avenues and expect the worst no harm in that. Just also take into consideration training on new EE these guys have worked on same system for a few years and training them are essential maybe that may be the hold up coupled with the volume and the fact every guy and his mate applied for this as they would never qualify under EE. I personally know of 8 unskilled workers with no match for the minimum criteria that applied under CEC. The logic” take a swing and miss before you don’t swing at all”. How many had same philosophy????? That create a bottle effect.

The only way we can get anywhere close to the truth is to either wait it out( which is rather painful ) or find a reliable source to get in touch with the CIC guys in Nova Scotia.
I tried calling my local MP but he is outta office until the next week.
meanwhile, if any of us could also kindly make an effort to get in touch with those politicians, that would be a great help!

It seems that your language result is too old. Check your exam type. Here is the info from CIC website:

CELPIP has three different tests. You must take the “CELPIP-General 2014” test to support your immigration application.

If you took the test before April 1, 2014, you would have had to take the “CELPIP-General (CELPIP-G)” test.

Note: As of April 1, 2014, you must take the “CELPIP-General 2014” test. The CELPIP-General 2014 scoring grid is different from the CELPIP-G test (see below).

It seems CELPIP test taken before April 1, 2014 is not valid anymore because scoring grid changed.

Did you provide you complete education details including school ?? with your college details, provide higher secondary (2years) and high school (10years).. if you are not able to edit create a new profile and see .. that's what I did

You can submit EE eventhough you have applied for CEC and your appln is with CIC .. it's mentioned in the CIC website

That's not correct. CIC said they have different calculation on your band if you got CELPIP score before 1st April 2014. Apparently his/her score is eligible for 2 years
