No. Think the Cap is reached. It remained 4537 for several weeks. May be those were the number of applications opened back in July or August. Dont think they ever updated. But lets just wait and see what they do with the applications. With the job bank not linked to EE they might consider our apps gain. Lets just hope.

Hariboy to your note , I am a regular follower of the CIC page. 8000 cap was intruduced from MAY. If I am correct by August End the number was around 2400. Last update happend for that count was on Dec 11th with 4537. At this point of time they are charging September applicants. With in 40 days there is no way that cap will be reached. Just be positve on this note.

The cap has not been reached. As canada_cec2410 correctly; points out above, they were processing Sept applications in Dec and there were 3500 left. That doesn't mean CIC can't arbitrarily stop processing applications if they want, but it wont be as a result of the cap being reached for October applicants

My application reached on October 23 and it is en cashed. it is Scotia bank and they are not able to tell when it cashed exactly.

did you checked before or it was your first time?

yes .. i checked on January 9 .they said it was not cashed . i think it is cashed between 12 to 19 .

Statistics for permanent resident applications - CEC has never even reached 6000 approved applications and I assume that there is not that many refused applications for CEC each year.
