Hi Guys,

Please be careful where you go for RCMP fingerprints, there are many approved agencies on CIC's website but I would suggest you go to Commissionaries, they are the only ones directly connected to RCMP Headquarters, others are third party agencies, I did mine from Ace Fingerprinting in Toronto, They lost my fingerprints as the guy had no idea what he was doing, and CIC kept saying call after 45 days. However I did it again from Commisionaries and requested the RCMP report at my address rather than sending to CIC directly. I got the report in 4 days and in a week after I sent it to CIC , I received a confirmation email.

Please be careful not to get a refusal because of someones else's carelessness.

Did you get second line like : We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on.... too?

Hi! Yes, I received the confirmation email from them 1 day after I submitted. The email was this one:

Dear XXXXXX,
The information you provided has been updated in our system.

Please be advised that no further action is required of you at this time. If additional documents are needed, an officer will be in touch with you shortly. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.

Due to the high correspondence we receive, our office is not able to give you a status update at this time. We appreciate your patience and keeping correspondence with our office to a minimum and up to date. In order to process request efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

Hopefully I will. But do you think this second line is really important?

I am just guessing that it means, they have worked on your file. I have three friends who applied in October too,All of them have got this line added in third week of March and two got Document requests after this line was added.

So, I guess that they haven't even touched my file yet.

It might be very close for you then :)

I know the waiting is brutal, when I was waiting for the documents/medical request I was checking my email compulsively and refreshing ecas page every 5 minutes. Now I went down to 2-3 times a day. Progress ;D ???

As per my case also the second line did not exist until i got medical request. The second line started appearing when i got medical request. So when you get medical request it will appear.
