No,that is your NOC code which will be common regardless of the class you apply your permanent residence application under.

Did you apply through any of these programs for your PR -
a. Canadian Experience Class - CEC
b. Provincial Nominee Program - PNP or
c. Federal Skilled Worker - FSW

Hello guys,

I applied for PR under Canadian experienced class on 21st october 2014.
got my AOR on 26th feb 2015.
Have been waiting for the medicals but still no reply.

Can any one tell me till where have the medicals reached?
Hope to hear something positive by the end of August.

The processing time is updated in the CEC website today, and looks like for CEC it now officially stands at 14 months :(

noooo !!!!! >:( :(

Just wondering, has anybody applied to Express Entry As well? Im thinking of doing a profile and just wondered if anybody has already done this?

Thanks

I have, and I also had an invitation right away (got 542 points). I started to complete my profile but I don't think we can have 2 applications for the same category (aka: CEC category) running at the same time... And if it means doing again the medical exams (I had my MR 2 months ago, completed on July 15th) and getting all the police check certificates? I don't know...

I have about a month left to accept or not going through EE.

DO EE.
Here we will receive something only next year...
Now it will be 14 months by cic webpage for the process. And we don;t know if it started to count from our AoR.

You can withdraw this process anytime. So if you receive any decision by EE you can drop this "old"/ "miserable"/"tortuous" CEC process.

:'(

So if I keep going in the process with EE, I don't have to withdraw anything before there's a final decision made for any of these applications? The only thing is that all my documents are attached to my "old" application, so if I want to start a new one I would probably have to fo everything again (meaning: going to Toronto to get another police certificate, doing my medical exams again, etc.). That's quite expensive...

Money is the only deterrent I believe. Anyone who has extra 2G's + admin costs can very well apply for EE and take that route.

Honestly, for most of us in CEC, it is the time(patience to a large extent) and the money spent on this old process is the reason to stay vested.

yes... that is the reason i didn't apply to EE...
They will request a new English test too since it is almost 12 months.

I think we need to add columns like 1 st line, 2 nd line , 3 rd line etc in the tracking sheet LOL :P.

Ya so i also got a second line in my ECAS. " We have started processing your application on Feb 2015"
