That seems to be the current interpretation, yes.

My companies letter doesnt indicate any of those visits they simply said i have been there employee for last one year ...thats it

The time you took your vacation is actually the hours you earned while working with your employer.
These payed hours are part of the employment and so it does count in CEC

Ya vacation hours do count, but point here is number of days stayed outside canada even though u were getting paid maybe vacation pay/business pay. Does that count ?. I guess NO. CIC doesnt consider days outside canada. U have to be physically present here. It means spend ur vacation here in canada instead of going back home to meet ur parents/friends etc.

I am screwed, even after calculating paid vacation days, I am short of 2 weeks for 1 year of experience for CEC. My workpermit also got over, Now i am on visitor visa. So dream for me in Canada is over.
