Eligibility: passed
Background: not started
VO: Sydney, NS

it’s so difficult to wait when feb aor are getting copr.

Same status with me. Background Check not started and VO is Sydney. I feel like they only approve once a month for Background Check. (Hopefully it's true. And what I notice is the last 'Passed' spree on Background Check is last February 16/17.

Some updates on my application:
Criminality In Progress
Info Sharing Passed

Security Not Started

Kind of relieved to hear info sharing is complete. I was US for a while so I was worried this was going to be the stumbling block but hopefully the rest of the road is smoother

and she said to expect to wait till November 2023 due to processing time lol.

Im noticing a trend here. Is IRCC processing applications of people with dependents faster compared to single applicants? Seems to make sense.
Seems to me singles are being processed first

No recent portals for November folks? Zero movement after Feb 28 GU where eligibility passed. Did not bother to call.

My latest GU was on Feb 28, it changed the status for BG to "In Progress" on tracker. Everything else on tracker is completed. 0 movement after that.

At least you guys have seen something!

I (and my VO Kitchener folks) have seen nothing since our GU on Jan 31.

Do you guys think VOs slowed down the processing times for us or in general? I've been seeing fewer approvals/Portal Emails recently as compared to the previous month. It's ironic because they reduced the average processing times to 12 months.

Yes, I've had that thought. Processing has been extremely fast recently. Maybe they are trying to slow it down to 6 months.

Yea but why is our application getting stuck though if they're trying to reduce processing times?
My theory is, we're already in Canada working and everything, so they don't need to rush ours. They're trying to get more people into Canada, so that's why all the Outland Applications are getting prioritized.
