I have the same PVO with similar timelines. Called IRCC today.

AOR - Nov 7
Medical passed and BIL : Nov 21
Criminality: Passed
Info Sharing: In Progress
Security: Not Started
Eligibility: Not started
PVO: Ottawa
Nice! I'm glad we've located each other with similar timelines and visa office. Criminality being passed is a good sign and shows that our applications are being worked on, and have progressed from medicals. Hopefully February will bring approvals our way!

I received the CBSA note (GCMS) today, I ordered the note on Jan 5.

ITA: November 23, 2022
AOR: November 27, 2022
MEP: December 28, 2022
Bio: December 30, 2022

--
According to the notes: (the note is generated on Jan 19, 2023)

Medical - Passed
Eligibility - Not started
Criminality - Passed
Info Sharing - In Progress
Security - Not started
Primary VO - CIO - Sydney
Secondary VO - CPC - Ottawa

The info-sharing starts on Dec 30, 2022. Not sure why it's still in progress and how long it may take.
It is totally luck and random with SVO Ottawa. Look at here below December AOR with Criminality & Info Sharing passed and Eligibility & Background check already in progress. Some guys from Sep-Oct have zero movements with the same visa office.

This is almost same as mine, just that mine is already Eligibility passed.

My PVO and SVO are Sydney and Ottawa as well.

Not the same as your SVO is Sydney, not Ottawa. SVO is most important as they actually process the file and finalize it.

Based on the agent I talked to earlier is that VO doesn't really matter since Ottawa is the last office that will process our papers, the secondary VOs only exists on certain situations. Not sure about it though.

I think Ottawa and Sydney process papers really fast based on the people getting approvals/movements.

Could be, but folks with Sep and Oct AOR's with zero movements since MEP don't agree with this statement I believe.

Yea... I wonder why the other old applications are being stuck. I thought IRCC is trying to reduce backlogs?

Just spoken to an IRCC agent. I've been told my background check is processing, but everything is good on there end so far.
He mentioned the VO doesn't matter as my application is processed online, but said its a centralized visa office (whatever that means?).

VO: Centralized visa office?
Medical: Completed/Passed
Eligibility: Completed/Passed
Info sharing: In progress
Criminality: In progress
Security: In progress
Does anyone have an idea on the background check timeframe? Hoping for some good news soon, and hoping others get the good news to!!
Did you receive your portal 1 email?
