I want to correct the existing report.

Is it just me or are they actually really slow in processing CEC from past couple of months?

just us.. see the tracker. most of them are less than 100 days.

Yeah, I saw one of them was Oct AOR.

yeah! I checked three time in last 1 hour, LOL. It worked for me.

Try after few mins, it will be working. And I hope you open a new browser after deleting all cookies and history!

So I reached out to my MP and this is what they had to say. Turns out that I fall under another constituent so I will have to reach out to him.

While we are not permitted to assist you with your case, our casework team has made an inquiry into the status of your application. The information they were able to collect can be found below:

· Your application was received on May 25, 2018

· Your eligibility is currently under review:

o Security has not been completed

o Criminality check has not been completed


I hope that this information is useful to you and I am sorry that our office cannot be of further assistance.

Is it a bad thing that my security has not even been looked at nor has my criminality check been done so far?

In other events, my travel visa application was cancelled. My visa has expired and I wanted to go on a vacation but they have cancelled the application. I have no idea why. Are candidates waiting for a decision on their PR application not granted another visa to travel outside of Canada?

Have anyone heard of this before?

My husband has a work permit in Canada and his Visa had expired a couple of months after our PR application, he applied and got it.

The reply says that Security/Criminality is not completed. Maybe one or both are still in progress? Also, have you ordered GCMS? They do give a better insight of the position of your application.

HI,

I did apply for GCMS last Friday and I think it takes about a month to receive it.

I have no idea why my travel Visa was cancelled this is very weird. I cant go back to India for the holidays now.

Could you tell me how long it took for him to receive his travel visa?

It was pretty quick actually, within a week to be exact..

Yes GCMS do take a month. Best is to email them on the 30th/31st day for an update so that you get yours on time. They can stretch till 35-40 days too.
