Hi Guys,

I got a landing interview email from @cic.gc.ca today. However, nothing has changed in my application.

Moreover, the message in the email says "We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview scheduled for..... at IRCC - Toronto (Etobicoke)".

Does this mean I skip the PPR email stage?
Will I get my COPR directly at the end of this interview?

Help?!

Yes congratulations. Interview will just be verifying your passport and basic documents. And you will get COPR in the interview. You do not need landing now One of my closest friend had the same interview

I think my wait further prolonged as I am not getting good vibes about RR in my Eligibility Status and CIO Sydney as well not fast enough as Ottawa. Let's see fingers crossed, good luck all of you too.

I just called CIC. They told me eligibility is yet to begin. Background check is still ongoing.

Should I be worried?

Over 100days, I still waiting, my security check last more than 1.5 months.

Hi Gary, My security is also taking one month now but no status update. Did the call agent explicitly told you your security is in progress when you contacted them? In my last call around one month ago, they told me the officer has initiated security check. Based on some readings in this forum, i guess "security in progress" means "security screening". Some of the applicants went straight to ppr from "security not started". This is just my personal understanding. Anyways, i though EE + PNP with 998 point + 2 travel history in the past 8 years + 9 years in Canada should be processed within 3 months but now I dont even sure I can get pr within 6 months.

She said security in progress on 16 May. Really? security screen! I never heard "security in progress" means "security screening". Honest, I am not sure. What is your timeline?

Usually, you would know security screen when you got notes, if there are lots of blank block in security part, they are truly been screened.

I am sorry, my mistake. weeks ago, when i checked, eligibility was "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"
But what the representative told over phone was not clear which I understood it as "Not yet begun".
Also it says "We dont need additional documents".

No news for me. They may have March aor and they got ppr but maybe their application wasn’t processed in Edmonton, I got to know that one person from feb aor got ppr from Edmonton office so I’m expecting my ppt to come in next month then.
You should call ircc this week to check the status of your application and also visa office.

Everything passed except Security and final review

Today Got another ghost update application/profile updated, but nothing changed.

Fingers crossed

Got ppr email yesterday morning
Sent passport right away
Passport delivered today morning 8 am

Can anyone tell how long it takes for return tracking number to activate ??

Did anyone call cic these days? There is apparently some issue on finding applications on the system and when I wait to talk with the agent, it always says that I should try later and they cannot even place me in queue. And it’s funny this happens to me at any time of day I’m calling and for both my applications (starting with E and EP).
Does anyone know what is the best time to call them at least to be placed into the call queue?
