CEC: later add spouse in application

Hi Guys
I am getting married in January 2014 and due to short time left in work permit, I have to apply CEC in NOV 2013
Can I add my spouse in application later, does some one have experience of it. What will be the affect if I add her in application as she is not in canada. Does the processing time will increase?

the processing time will increase, maybe by 2-3 months. But this is going to be the right way to do it.

If you are eligible, Apply for yourself since your permit is going to expire.
Once you get married and have your marriage certificate, you can send those documents with your AOR, and she will be added to your application. Than in next 8-10 months, you both will get Medical Request, followed by Passport request.
