Wow... I was about to post the same question... In addition to this forum, I think it would also help to check with CIC customer service.

Hi,
yes it's always better to do it. Inform CIC by an email.

Just your info like: first name, surname, DOB, file No., UCI

Thanks nov1061 for quick reply.

1. Do I need to send any document?
2. Is it impact my application processing time or any other problem?

Little bit worried. Hope you understand

@ TIELTS

First of all keep cool, you need not worry.

As per CIC any changes personally or professionally should be informed to CIC. I was in your situation when i changed job i had promptly informed CIC about the change over email, CIC acknowledge the same and confirmed my details were updated in there records accordingly. Later (Maybe after 2-3 months) CIC emailed me requesting to submit updated Schedule 8 form where i updated my current employer details and emailed back. I got PR in 9 months, i don't believe this will delay your process, however it depends on case to case. Also i have few friends with similar situation and they didn't inform CIC about the job change, so they didn't get any email from CIC requesting to submit updated Schedule 8 form and now all are landed immigrants.

Its your wish if you feel you would like to inform CIC do it, if not keep quiet and enjoy.

Good luck.
