Thank you again :)

1. Have you committed any crime in Canada or abroad?
2. Have you ever been rejected entry to Canada?
3. Do you have any dependents?
Thanks for sharing! Also, you didn't book appointment, just went there right? The office on Queen's street right? BTW, big congrats!!!

Thank you so much!

No, no appointment. Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month you can walk in between 10am-2pm and do your landing.

Yes, 235 queens street.

Strongly recommended because it was the quickest process.

Hello folks,
Just wanted to drop my last update on this thread as I became a Permanent Resident today!

Please refer to my signature for my timeline.

Regarding the landing, I went to Boundary Bay since I live in Vancouver. I was expecting long wait times but it actually took me less than 30 minutes to do the whole thing. In a nutshell, the landing process happened as follows:

1. I went directly with the US border agent and told him I needed to flagpole to become a Canadian PR
2. Went inside the US Immigration office and the agent basically put a stamp in my passport (flagpole).
3. Right after that, I went with the Canadian border agent who asked for my passport and gave me a piece of paper. Then told me to go inside of the Canada immigration office.
4. Inside the Canadian Immigration Office I was asked for my passport, COPR and current work permit. Asked to wait for around 15 minutes and then they called me back to sign COPR.

That was pretty much it. Immigration agents on both sides were friendly and they knew what they were doing. No complaints at all, just pure happiness here! :)

Now I just have to wait for the PR Card, which according to CIC website is taking 13 days. That being said, I guess it's time to relax, enjoy the PR life and wait a couple of years to apply for the citizenship.

I wish you all the best on your PR applications folks. Thanks for all the support and advice provided. You guys rock!

Cheers!

PS - > If you live in Vancouver, keep in touch! Let's go for a beer to celebrate our PR, shall we? ;)

Not sure if there is anyone from Ottawa on this thread but I thought I would share my landing experience.

I got my COPR in the mail at 1pm today and I decided to try my luck and see if Ottawa IRCC office was doing walk in interviews for landing.
Reached there at 1:36pm. Security guards asked me what I was there for and said I’m lucky since it wasn’t 2pm yet.
He took my copr and asked me to take a seat.
An officer called me 5 mins later, asked for COPR, passport and one photograph. He then asked the basic 3 copr questions and then asked me to sign off on the COPR.
He then said the golden words “congratulations you’re now a permanent resident of Canada”. Explained a few rules of Pr, stamped my passport and I was on my way. In and out in 20 mins.

Good luck everyone who is waiting; it’s going to come. Don’t lose hope.
Congratulations for your PR

Did they ask for passport and if yes how long did they keep it

Hi

I received my 2nd GCMS note today. 1 month back my eligibility and security was NOT STARTED and even today its the same, none of them started.

Only difference is that file has moved from Ottawa to London visa office which happened around 15 days back.

My AOR is 6 January 2019 and now with only 18 days remaining to complete 6 months period but with all this progress I dont understand when will I get the PR.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Just a quick note guys to let you know that I got the PR Card yesterday. Only 12 days after landing in the border. Quite fast in my opinion :)

The card came from the Sydney NS Office so I guess these guys are processing things faster

Happy Friday!
