CEC Interview for Eligibility Concerns

Hi all,

I'm a 2014 May CEC applicant. I completed my in person interview at my local CIC office in December last year regarding with eligibility concerns. Heard nothing since then. My application has been submitted for almost two years From the most recent NOTES I ordered, officer's notes:

I think my next update turn is coming soon.

Two years seems to be a long time. What I suggest is to get everything together and pay a visit to your local MP office. Google search your member of parliament + the city you live in. Their website will show up. Give them a call and arrange a meeting, or just go to their office.

Explain everything from A to Z and ask them to follow up on your application. They will take some notes, make a copy of related papers you have and make you sign a piece of paper so they can follow up on your behalf. The advantage here is they have their own connections at CIC and they will get back to you in 48 hours tops. So you know what is going on with your application. It's part of their job to do this for you.

Remember they will not accelerate the process, they will just give you the application status at CIC, maybe with a little more detail.

I contacted my local MP last year however it was during election period. I should try now!
