my bg went to progress on 25th aug for second time. my app is pretty straight fwd, no document request or issues so far. As from GCMS my eligibility was recommended pass on 30th July 2016 and security was not started.. my question is when can i expect ppr????

long weekend has begun and i am sort of bored so thought to research this a bit as there wont be any movement for next 3-4 days...

Hi everyone!
I'm a CEC inland applicant as well- I will soon (hopefully) receive an ITA as I was remotely nominated through PNP.
I Am on an open work permit that is set to expire March 2017
I'm wondering if I have a PR application in progress through express entry, will I be eligible to apply for the BOWP?
Has anyone been in the same situation?
Thoughts please? Thank you!! :)

Expect 4 weeks after your BG changed to In Progress for the second time. Thats the current trend.

Yup, you can apply for BOWP if u have submitted a PR application and ur work permit is expiring within 4 months. You will need to submit your AOR in the BOWP application, its quite straightforward and i got my BOWP in 20-22 days after online application

Thank you so much for sharing!! Do you mind me asking how long your BOWP was issued for?

As well, the AOR that needs to be provided... is it the "R-10" AOR? I'm not familiar with the terms yet, but i've been reading the forum and I keep seeing the "R-10" associated with BOWP.

Thanks so much for your help with information!! :)

AOR is automatic now (it keeps fluctuating, people used to receive it with in few minutes of actual application submission to several weeks). It means acknowledgement of receipt i.e. automatic reply you receive that your PR application is in the system.

R10 okay is more formal completeness check by Centralized intake office sydney, NS. It basically checks that you have a complete application in system. If say you are missing a Police certificate, it would still get an AOR, but not an R10 okay.

CIC used to require R10 okay (some times called second AOR) for BOWP application. But this was only true for first 7-8 months of 2015 since the start of EE. Afterwards, CIC issued an amendement and you can submit a BOWP application as soon as you have submitted a PR application and have an automatic AOR.

Although the BOWP will still only be assessed once your R10 okay is through. But you would be under implied status meanwhile and CIC would keep the application pending until that R10 is decided. Previously, they would simply refuse BOWP if they couldn't find a first stage approval.

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of filling out my EE profile and had a quick question that you guys may be able to answer.

I have been working in Toronto for the past two years in a full-time NOC A job. I am on a PGWP and did not need an LMIA to get my job.

How do I go about answering the below questions?

1. "Do you have a job offer in Canada"
2. "Was a LMIA issued for this"
3. "Is you work permit LMIA approved"

While 2 and 3 are a straight-forward NO in my case, should I mark the first question as YES?

Does marking this as NO reduce my points in any way?
