Hey, whoever has answers

CEC Inland Refused this morning and I'm yet to receive my refusal for bowp. Just wondering how long I have left, legally, in the country before I overstay my welcome. I'm struggling to find information on this.

Hope you guys can help.
Congrats to all PPR'S today.

Sorry to hear about that. Was it refused, or returned as incomplete?

Not sure how long before you get the BOWP refusal, maybe about a week.

Once you get that, assuming your previous work permit has already expired - usually, you will have a 90-day grace period during which you can apply for restoration of status / change to a visitor, or prepare to leave.

Usually, his BOWP will be refused and his implied status will end on the same date.

It IS possible that IRCC determines that the BOWP application was incomplete and he will be out of status retroactive to the date his work permit expired (grace period would start then). I've rarely seen this happen to applicants, but it is possible.

Please help...its the eca and red seal thing..i know BOWP will be refused..any options?? Wondering...

Refused due to some ECA/Education misunderstanding on my part..or the visa officers. I'm going to call an IRCC agent Monday to get some clarification if I can, but I was worried about 10-30 days...90 sounds good.

Just looked back at your other post... What is your NOC? Are you in the trades?

Red Seal is a (trades) Certificate of Qualification, not an educational credential. At least here in Canada.

What exactly did you list?

ECA is not required for CEC class, but if you stated in your profile you had an ECA, and then did not provide it, that's why it would be refused.

I used Red Seal as an Automotive Service Technician, NOC 7321, yet I was refused because I did not upload an ECA for my education back home. Which I thought was assessed and deemed okay when I challenged my Red Seal in 2014

I'm sure you were assessed and deemed OK, but that does not meet the requirements for the ECA for express entry. Here's the link about ECA - the site is currently not working for me, but this is where to go for info on the ECA.

That's really too bad about the misunderstanding. I hope you will re-apply.
