CEC inland- 2 Tough Questions- Need Help with!

I am the main applicant for CEC. I have done bachelors in Canada.

My spouse highest education is high school (back-home).

My Questions are:

  1. Would my wife need her high school credentials to be assessed? I am under the impression, it's our own choice?
  2. We are receiving 2 points for her high school. Can we just opt-out of this, as I believe WES assessment seems like a pain in the back process? If we do, what would I fill in spouse education slot while making E.E profile so that, I don't receive points?
  3. I am struggling with IELTS I need L8,7,7,7 to make 465. Anything less, even 0.5 is taking about 20 points off. I have written IELTS twice already. Once, got 7.5 when I needed 8(Listening) other time, did score 8 in listening but only got 6.5(W), while I needed 7. So I am kinda disappointed, as it already has wasted one month! Now, I am thinking is it possible that I proceed with my application only mentioning * Spouse won't accompany* as it gives me required points even with current IELTS score (Clearly adding spouse cutting 20 -30 points). And meanwhile, keep improving IELTS. And when required scores are achieved I go update the profile changing it to *Spouse will accompany" and updating the latest IELTS score so that when CIC re-evaluate points it would still be same (around 466). Just a thought, I don't know if that's possible or not. just trying to save some time.

Thanks. Any advice will be appreciated!

1. Not necessary, if it’s just 2 points it won’t make. A huge difference to your score. But it’s your call. We never verified my spouse’s education.
3. Try CELPIP, it’s easier than IELTS.

Thanks for your reply!

CELPIP is a nightmare, I got the best scores (11 and 12) in all components but speaking. I am not good with their speaking, soonest pictures come up, I go blank. imagine a person getting 8 in Ielts speaking scoring 5.5 in CELPIP. I have to make IELTS work.

any suggestion on my question # 3? would that strategy work?
