All I can say is what CIC will say,and that is' You are responsible for your own legalities',it is an unfortunate thing to happen, but before I even came to Canada I spent 8 months researching everything about where I wanted to live, living costs, rent, schools for the kids, even bringing our dog over, and everything that I could find out about work permits,LMO's etc..
You are in this situation because you either knowingly or unknowingly broke the agreement for your TWP,and I am pretty sure that you knew that it was wrong and that if caught there would be consequences. Thats the blunt of it I'm afraid to say.
The only option to you now if you want to stay is to pay a lawyer that is versed in immigration and hope that in less than 90 days he can convince CIC to allow you stay and restore your status, which does not seem likely.
