CEC has been submitted over 13 months. It is still on Background checking.

I submitted my case last year July. I have not received any information except FN. I ordered notes and also called CIC. They all show that only the background checking is on process. The security and work experience check have not been started yet.
What is included in the background check? What should I do right now?

Don't worry try to order GCMS notes, it might you know something from notes.
For me it takes 19.5 months
