CEC-got AOR-Spousal OWP instead of BOWP

Dear Altruist, I am a CEC applicant got my AOR. My PGWP is about to expire. Now I want to apply spousal OWP (My wife is a full-time Ph.D. student) instead of BOWP (trying to minimize the uncertainty of not getting WP if any bad thing happens to my PR application). in IMM5710E form question, no 3 ask to choose different options. I have to select "Apply for a work permit with the same employer". In that case, do I need to give the LMIA (impossible for me to get from my current employer)? Any advise or experiences will help me a lot.TIA.

No. And it doesn't really matter which option you pick, since you are applying for an open work permit,.
