Hi guys,

I have a dilemma and I hope you will be able to help me. I am a CEC applicant with 418 points at the moment, because I do not have 1 year foreign work experience. I have a job now that at the end of November will give me more points for foreign work experience - assistant manager. But my boss wants to promote me to a manager. Now the question is weather my 1 year foreign work experience can be from two diffent job titles, even its the same NOC or its suppose to be just one title, one position and the same job?

What do you think?

Thanks :)

Either in Canada or Outside of Canada, you must have minimum one year work experience in one particular NOC code to be eligible for FSW or CEC.

Sure, you can be promoted. For CRS points, you can add all your foreign work experience together, so it could even come from different NOC codes if you want.

It's only under eligibility for FSW that you need to prove continuous 12 months experience in one NOC. But you are applying under CEC, so that does not matter.
