Cec file stuck at bg check

Hi everyone,
If anyone can help me with this. I have applied for my pr in April got an adr request in June. Since thn my file is stuck at bg check it shows the same status for more thn two months now. Called ircc they said they can do nothing. Should I just wait, is the vo not opening up the file or what could be the resn??
