Hey guys,

it's me again. This time I have a few questions about the fees I need to pay for my CEC application.

1. If I mail my application in less than 2 months, when should/can I pay the fees?
2. I'm the principal and only applicant in my application, should I only pay $550 for the application and wait with the RPRF fee or pay $550+$490 right away?
3. ( Think this one already got answered somewhere else, however ) What method do you recommend to pay the fees? Online or Credit Card?

Thanks a ton!!

In my case I sent the fee payment form and charged by credit card [i think that is the best method]
Once you send application, they generally take 2 to 8 weeks of time to charge your credit card (in my case they charged the credit card nearly after 5 weeks)
RPRF thing comes way later, after your Medicals or during.

Use online fee payment instead of giving credit card number, Check the post below
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/how-do-i-inform-cic-of-new-credit-card-info-t155532.0.html

Ya, think I'd prefer online, but how much am I supposed to pay?
$550 only for now and RPRF later? Or both together?
And when? Should I wait until I mail my application or could I pay like a few weeks before?

Read that by CIC it's preferred only to pay $550 for the application
and $490 RPRF when requested by CIC.
Last question is still unanswered tho,

when should I pay? A week before I mail my application, the same day I mail or 4+weeks before I mail?
Does it matter at all?

doesn't matter, just keep the payment receipt with the application, you should be good.

So if I pay today, about 1 1/2 months before I mail the application, I should be good just keeping the receipt and
mailing it along with my application? Is that what you're saying?

Well that's what I did now :) Printed and filled out the receipt and will mail it with application.

Another question on Fee Payment

I am paying by Demand Draft payable in Canadian funds. Which part of the Fee payment form should I fill?

I am in India and I have Indian credit card. Due to the high exchange rates, paying through Indian credit card is expensive with all the processing fee. So opted for a DD instead :(

Just a question..
If you have already worked in Canada for a year, than how come you didn't get Canadian CC at that time??

As far as I know due to high exchange rates, if you are buying CAD to make DD from a bank it will cost you almost same money in INR.
Probably you will end up saving $40-50..

That's the sad part. I submitted my application when I was in Canada with a check. But it was returned because I missed to certify it from the bank. Now I am re-applying from India :(

When a DD is submitted, which portion of the Fee payment form needs to be filled? Do we need to sign too?

Hello,

I am going to apply under CEC soon. Please guide me for fee payment. I am only Principal applicant.

I am thinking to pay via bank draft or money order.

Please guide me so I don't make mistake.

Thanks,
Raj
