Hi,
I got an Invitation to Apply for CEC today as an inland applicant on April 12th, 2023. My score for Canadian Work Experience is 53. However, It looks like its increased to 53 if you have 2 years of work experience. However, my job outline is as followed:
  • Employer 1: May 3, 2021 - SEP 10, 2021, 4 months and 7 days (680 Hours)
  • Employer 2 SEP 20th, 2021 - DEC 03, 2021, 3 months and 17 days (560 Hours)
  • Employer 3: DEC 6, 2021 - Present, 1 years, 4 months
Now, since I have started my job on May 3rd, 2021. I would assume my work experience will be of 2 years on May 3rd, 2023. But I was assigned the points before that. Should I accept the ITA or decline it?

It is a common glitch. You can find A LOT of threads on this very insane glitch here. All you can do is to wait another month and submit application after completing 2 years (May 3rd, 2023). That way you'll be safe. You got 60 days to accept or reject the invite anyways, might as well collect PCC and other docs in the 1 month time.

So you are suggesting I decline after a month, just to be on the safe side?

All I am saying is that this is a common glitch - just wait to finish your 2nd year and don't submit your application (and don't decline!). Get employment letter or whatever CECs need, and then get an AOR after May 3, 2023. That way your points claimed under 2 year exp are valid.

The above poster is right, only thing I may add is to wait until May 16 at least instead of may 3, as there are a 13 day gap between employment. All this does is to ensure that on the day of AOR you actually have 2 full years of employment.

yeah, for me, it's the same, I got the point for Canadian exp, but my 1 year is completing on May 5. I'll upload docs and pay fees at least 4-5 days after May 5th - more so because I will have to wait for the PCC from India
