CEC Class new rules 1 year work experience

Hello,

I come to know that sometime sooner or later, CEC Class under 1 year study +1 work experience combination is going to restart. But I am not sure about continuation in work experience. Is it required to have continue Job ? What if i have experience in two different skilled jobs but there is a gap between them about a month. I had 1 year full time course in Toronto from September 2010 to April 2011, then I had 4 months of summer term (Co op) from April 2011 to August 2011, in a Toronto based company but it was a part of my study program. From September 2011 to April 2012 i worked for the same company on full time basis as an Accounting clerk and I moved to Regina in end of April and from June 2012 I have been working for Regina based company as an Accounting Analyst, all together I have close to 1 year of full time skilled work experience, but there was a gap in the month of May where I did not have any skilled work experience. I just wanted to know based on my current scenario, Can i apply under CEC class when rules will be in action ? I have my work permit till december 2012 and looking at complexities in sinp rules, I would like to consider myself for CEC if I qualify.

You can have more than 1 job, it does not have to be continuous. New rules will not go into effect until January 2013. If you are unable to renew your work permit, that's OK, you can leave Canada and apply from your home country.

Ok. Thanks for your message. I am an International student and on my post graduate work permit. Would I still be eligible to apply under CEC Class ?

You've already posted in a thread which was already started, what's the point in starting multiple one's and posting the same in different places. Sorry for the comment but the reason is, this forum is piling up with repeated threads. You've to work for 1 year (full time) if you study here or you have to work for 2 years as a temporary foreign worker to apply under CEC.

once the new rule will be implemented.. when will be the start of counting for 1 year skilled experience? they said 2013, so by then do i need to have a year of experience in order to be legitimate to apply by 2014? or my past experience which is already 1 year now is good already or cover or included in this new rule? just confuse.. thank you so much..

As per proposal, anyone who has 1 year skilled exp. (acquired) as on Jan 2013 will be eligible for apply for CEC. You need not wait until 2014 to apply after acquiring the exp. in 2013. You are good with your past exp (acquired within the last 36 months).

But you will have to wait for the announcement for confirmation.
