Another week passed ..no PPR
Had emailed CIC on Tuesday. Got their standard reply today. Application is still in process, no documents reqd at this time..blah blah ???

Not Yet, waiting for my GCMS notes expected this month end.

Canada Post Strike expected from 1st July !!!!

i got request to prepare a new Certificate of Non-criminal Record, this is the second time they asked for documents. Does anyone meet the same condition?

Got my BOWP last week. It makes me feel a little bit better. At least I can sign contract with employers.

Just received my Electronic Notes today. Application appears to be approved since early may. I see some single entry Visa details too.
Eligibility, RCMP, Medical, Criminality status' are passed. Security is blank.


I see following notes by Immigration Officer:

26th April : 'Appears RFV'
7th May : **Office Review** batch notes FOSS/GCMS NAI. Application is Approved
10th May : CPC-O RFV letter sent via email in a batch. No correspondence was generated as letter was sent in batch.

I am assuming RFV means Ready For Visa.
I didnt receive any RFV mail on 10th May. I even asked Ottawa last week and they said file is still in process.
Not Sure what is happening ???

call the call center and explain this that you just received your notes. WHY it says RFV mail sent on batch? I did not receive anything. What does your ecas status say?

Ecas says In Progress.
Also in the GCMS notes :
App Status : OPEN
App status Reason : IN PROGRESS

Only thing i think might be causing delay is that SECURITY section is blank..no details. Not sure if it is supposed to be blank

I had contacted CPC Ottawa last week and they gave me the standard answer that Application is in process, is in queue to be reviewed by an officer and they cant confirm when it will be finalized.
I had mentioned my Medical and RPRF was done in march.

Anyways as i cant wait for PPR any longer i applied for TRV today as i need to go to my home country in August and there could be a potential Canada Post strike from 2nd July.
Was hoping to do Landing when i return, but well CIC would rather see me spending $200 on TRV then giving me a PR Single Entry Visa.

I have sent an email to CPC Ottawa about this. lets see

My TRV application gets processed in one Day (Was printed and returned one day after it reached CPC Ottawa)... but sending Ready For Visa is taking forever

Just Got Ready For Visa - Passport Request Right Now. ;D ... one day after i get my passports from Ottawa with TRV (200$ wasted)

Yes, i suppose so. Only regret is i lost $200 applying for TRV. if only PPR email came one week earlier. Anyways glad the PPR is finally here.

they have mentioned->

"- The self-addressed, pre-paid envelope should be arranged with a courier of your choice that delivers within Canada.
- Submit all documents by mail in a single package and send to the following address:
CPC – Ottawa – PR
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1"

- self addressed envelope must be a arranged from courier and the passports,etc must be sent by mail? I think there is a typo in the second line as the address provided is the courier address of CPC and not the PO box address they usually provide for canada post.

So i will courier the passports enclosing the prepaid courier envelope.

Hopefully they return our passports before 9th August as i need to travel to my home country on 9th August. Will be doing my landing at the airport when i return.
