no ecas says in progress.. i asked the call centre they said dont go by ecas cuz its updated once a week only..

a little suggestion for all waiting for ppr. i saw this happen with this other person also. he called the call center .. they checked his file and told him that everythings complete they are just waiting for VO to approve file.. and same day he got his ppr.. i called on friday and the agent said the same and i got ppr the next day. So theres no harm in calling and trying.. when the agents chk file its possible they move the file forward as its complete or it somehow gets active. not a guarantee it works but worth a shot .

Got ready to visa mail yesterday. :)
I am in India where do I have to send the passport for stamping.
As my lawyer is asking me to send the passport to Canada(he is not aware that I am in India),
It is illegal to send Indian passport across international border.
Where should I send guys?
Please advise!

Congratulations!!

Since you are using a lawyer, please let him/her know that you are in India now and cannot submit the passport to Ottawa. He will then send an email to CIC asking for a Visa office change. Also, is there a reason you haven't told your lawyer about the address change? You could have saved time that you will loose in correspondence now that you could have avoided by letting CIC know earlier.

Aug 15th Application, received 'Ready for Visa' this morning at 630/Pacific. ECAS still shows as 'in-process'

Finally, the wait is OVER. It's been a loooooong journey!

Good-luck to everyone waiting, I'm sure the end is near for everyone. Stay Strong ~

Hey guys,

I have a question about the landing process,

When you asked to sign the COPR they ask you "Have you ever been charged/convicted of a crime or offence, refused admission to Canada or required to leave Canada"

So my question is, if I had two speeding tickets back when I was living in Canada, do I need to tell this to the immigration officer?
Does speeding ticket is a crime/offence?

Thanks!
