Just received the PPR email! It is a long email, so just want to confirm we need to mail two photos with the pre-paid Xpresspost envelope to the CRA? is that right? Thanks.

I was also requested to send two photographs along with the passports, to CIC. Yes, by Canada post only. Btw not sure what you mean with CRA (did you file taxes recently? )

It is a long email, luckily husband read it carefully and noticed it was by Canada Post only, I was ready to go to UPS, haha.

Anyone has requested Hong Kong Police Certificate before? How long does it actually takes to reach Ottawa? How do you check if Ottawa receive it?

Hi all,
Can anyone please advise whether we can return in the next flight just after landing and completing the formalities at the Airport?
I am planning for permanent stay after 2-3 months and hence planning for just the landing formalities before CoPR expires.
Is there any legal obligation to stay any minimum amount of time after landing?

As far as I know you can leave after landing but until you receive a PR card you will need to buy a return flight when you go back to Canada which kinda sucks. I might have to do the same, fly to Canada to do the landing then go home to take care of affairs i.e work my notice period, sell my TV and furniture etc.

FYI West jet is starting a new service flying from the UK to Canada this month. I just had a look on their website and found a flight from Manchester to Toronto for $116 USD one way. To compare that with Air Transat they are charging £320 ($450 USD)

I'm sure they offer cheap flight from a bunch of other places too, defiantly worth looking into for people planing to do their immigration landing soon.

I know right, it cost more to get the train from Beverley to Manchester then it does to fly Man-TO .. CRAZY

Hi friends this is my first question to this forum here i am sharing my details

- Application received: August 5, 2014 CEC
- Medical request: Jan 20 ,2106 got email
- Medicals done : Jan 19,2016 UP front
Married and applied SOWP, Nov 20,2016 approved on dec 28,from Delhi
came to canada with wife on jan 20
Got medical request principal applicant my self only and asked PCC
Done jan 19 upfront and sent a copy with pcc on feb 10,2016
feb 20 asked spouse, passport marrige certificate mailed on feb 21
got RPRF request principal applicant my self paid march 10
got RpRF processing fee req ,pcc and othher documents and medicals for spouse RPRF paid on march 12 mailed all requested documents

till no reply after march 12 and there is even any update in my ecas except application received, started processing . There is nothing about medical request received .

now i have a problem my first BOWP is valid till May 3rd ,2016 only.
please suggest me we will get Passport request or better to apply another work permit

btw, the email starts like this..
This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.

Its Normal!!

When Eligibility is passed they can ask for Documents and RPRF as well.

Pay the fees and send the document or send the Documents and then send the fees.

Most of the cases after Eligibility , MR comes in but it seems like they want to clarify something through your updated documents for clearing your security and Background.

RPRF before MR it little surprising but anyhow you may pay it..as it does not seems to be fake since nobody else received it.

Did they ask also for ...your family composition or personal circumstances changed since our last correspondence....? they did in my case

they asked for PCCs, resume and some information about my Phd thesis, advisor..
